CIRCB-AUF: Steps of a success story..

15 February 2011 Led by Ms. Wanda Diebolt, Secretary General of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, the delegation who visited the CBIRC was composed of Prof. Bonaventure Mve Ondo, Vice-Rector of AUF, Prof. Alain Ondoua, Director of the Central Africa Bureau of AUF and Mr. Abdoulaye Salifou, Deputy Director for Science Policy.

It was an occasion for them to discover the "Chantal Biya" International Reference Centre member of AUF since September 11, 2009.

After a presentation of the Centre by the Director, Dr Pierre Joseph Fouda, Dr. Odile Ouwe Missi Oukem returned to the history of relations between the two institutions. For his part, the Scientific Director, Prof. Vittorio Colizzi welcomed the opportunities that AUF can bring to CBIRC including at European level. For Ms. Diebolt, the potential that CBIRC presents can permit to develop some interesting activities. And, in this year marking the fiftieth anniversary of AUF, she hoped to see the Centre and the Agency linked by a partnership agreement that would strengthen the good relationship so well already between them. Thereafter, our guests visited the Centre, including laboratories and the Centre for Documentation and Information, where Ms. Diebolt signed the guestbook.

No doubt we have here the beginnings of a common pathway to write in golden letters.
